She's a singer. She's a songwriter. She's a Boss Lady. She's Wendy Child. And if you're a pop music fan, you'll be adding Wendy to your playlist very soon. Inspired by popular '90s artists like Britney Spears and contemporary artists like Ariana Grande, Wendy is heating up the competition with her bold vocals and unforgettable songs. Currently a Nashville resident, the millennial musician signed her first management contract at the age of 16 and has been writing and recording music ever since. Her latest single, "Suitcase," is an upbeat tune that was inspired by her marriage to husband Michael Child.
Michael is also a musician, as well as a photographer. (He takes most of the photos for her work.) After meeting in a recording studio nearly a decade ago, Wendy and Michael have learned what it means to be a team. And with a recording studio in their home, the pair knows how to "make it work," both personally and professionally.
While "Suitcase" was just released in September 2018, Wendy's already working on new music. With 4 EPs already under her belt, she's ready to bring more dance-pop magic into the world. In the past, she has collaborated with other writers, including The Infinites and her husband. Her catchy lyrics and melodies have also landed her a deal with Musicbed, which is an online sync licensing platform where Wendy has found success with television and film music placements for her songs.
